Fast and Furious 7's all-star cast has gone through a lot this year, since the passing of Paul Walker, whose autopsy update revealed was still alive immediately following the crash, late last November. Director James Wan was able to wrap up production early which was great for poor, heartbroken Vin Diesel but not necessarily the best thing for Dame Helen Mirren, who claims she has been trying to join the action based franchise after starring in the Red movies.

To hear Vin Diesel talk about finishing shooting for his up-and-coming Fast and Furious 7 flick, you would think it was the most emotionally taxing thing that you could ever do.

But all the emotional turmoil hasn't been enough to scare off the incomparable Helen Mirren, who joked about wanting to join Fast 7 to Huffington Post:

"I always love stunt driving. I do as much driving on my movies as I can. If there's driving stuff to be done, I always beg or insist on doing it myself. Little-known fact: Helen Mirren, stunt driver.

"I'd love to be in a Fast & Furious movie. I keep putting feelers out.

"I'd love to do Fast & Furious. I love Vin Diesel as well. He doesn't understand, I think he's so cool."

Vin Diesel, for one however, did not enjoy his Fast filming experience this time around.

Although Vin is always dedicating to giving it 100 percent, it was nearly impossible given what was being asked of him.

During a recent chat on Live with Kelly and Michael!, the Riddick meathead explained how painful it was to pretend to work with your friend by day, only to mourn his senseless passing by night (via Huffington Post):

"It was someone that, we...we grew up in the business together, and we became famous together, and we represented the biggest franchise together.

"He was my partner, and it's a strange thing to...I've been acting all my life and they don't teach you in acting, how to mourn someone and simultaneously pretend they're in a scene with you."

Sounds like Vin could have really used some of Helen Mirren's comfort and support during the shoot; perhaps next time around she will actually be there to give it to him.
