Tone Deaf: Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant Set to Star in Latest Stephen Frears Film about the Awful Florence Foster Jenkins

Any "Fail Meme" ever conjured could be in relation to the worst opera singer of all time, Florence Foster Jenkins, whose piercing lack of tonality and inability to keep rhythm will be fit for the new Stephen Frears movie starring, yes, Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.

An odd couple indeed, the pair have been fine tuning this project for quite some time. Thus, the pair are in negotiations and talks to join in on the untitled film directed by Frears.

The funny part is that Streep can hold a note and get through an entire song without causing a riot. One would think that someone as talentless as Jenkins would surely have bottomed out right?

Wrong.

Florence Jenkins filled concert halls with paying patrons who were there for the singer. However, it's unclear whether they wanted to hear her rendition of Mozart or simply get a good laugh in before the night's end.

Streep is set to play Jenkins and Hugh Grant her manager. This should make for an interesting production as Frears will be awarded the BFI Fellowship.

Believe the tabloids, this one can't sing (below).
