Off Broadway Listing: Stephen Sondheim's 'Passion'
WHAT:
Set in 19th century Italy--adapted from the film Passione d'Amore--Passion follows the amorous exploits of a handsome army captain named Giorgio (Ryan Silverman), who becomes the object of romantic obsession from Fosca (Judy Kuhn), his colonel's bedridden cousin. This Tony Award-winning story from 1994 unfurls as Giorgio sends and receives letters from his mistress, Clara (Melissa Errico). John Doyle directs Classic Stage Company's revival using an all-male cast, save for Kuhn and Errico. Sondheim's timeless music is directed by Rob Berman.
