‘Dark Knight Rises’ Bane Tom Hardy Drops Out of DC Comics ‘Suicide Squad’ Villain Movie After ‘Revenant’ Production Runs Long?

It looks like the Suicide Squad are already dying off. The upcoming DC Comics movie about the expendable group of super-villains turned government agents has apparently lost Tom Hardy. The Dark Knight Rises Bane actor is having to drop out of the role of Rick Flagg in order to finish production on the Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s film The Revenant, which is reportedly running long.

The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Nightcrawler star Jake Gyllenhaal is being eyed to replace Tom Hardy as the Team’s field leader, Rick Flagg.

The current known members of the cast include:

Captain Boomerang -- Jai Courtney
Deadshot -- Will Smith
Harley Quinn -- Marto Robbie
Enchantress -- Cara Delevingne
Joker -- Jared Leto
Amanda “The Wall” Waller --Viola Davis

Aidan Gillen, best known for his role as Petyr Baelish in HBO’s Game of Thrones and Tommy Carcetti from The Wire, is reportedly in talks to play Deathstroke Slade Wilson in the new movie.
