EXCLUSIVE: 'Here Lies Love' from Village Voice's 58th Annual Obie Awards @ Webster Hall
Like we told you they would, last night, the cast of David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's Obie-winning musical performed LIVE at Webster Hall.
In light of long-time Village Voice theater critic Michael Feingold's recent canning, their two selections gave us all a little something to celebrate.
Never one to dwell too long on the negative, Feingold was all class in his introduction.
"Tonight is about celebrating the wonderful things that have happened in the theater," he said somewhat wistfully.
That said, at least for now, Michael Feingold's future with the Obies remains uncertain.
And that, dear Classicalites, is a damn shame.
Finally, because Voice Media management would probably kill us we didn't . . . the Obie Awards were presented by Stella Artois.
