Many fans of Fox News are wondering when anchor Megyn Kelly will return. The exact date hasn’t been made public, but Kelly has stated that she will return after her maternity leave, so that she can spend time with her new baby boy. We’ve got the latest updates on this developing story.

Maternity leave in the U.S. means that a new mother is guaranteed 12 weeks of unpaid leave to spend with their new child (whether the mother gave birth to or adopted the infant).

Since Megyn gave birth to her young child on July 26, 2013, it would appear that the star will return to the small screen before the end of November, which will delight many in the Fox audience.

The birth announcement of her first child occurred live on air at Fox. Shannon Bream, who was hosting America Live, issued the following statement concerning Kelly:

"We just got details about Megyn Kelly's big baby news...Here is the picture. Say hello to Thatcher Bray Brunt. Megyn and Doug's third child was born at 8 pounds, 2 ounces. He has brown hair, blue eyes; he is gorgeous. Mom says the best description of him--and this is a quote--'Totally awesome.' Mom and dad are thrilled, and so is Thatcher's big brother Yates and his big sister Yardley. Congratulations to Megyn, Yates, Yardley, and Thatcher from myself, the America Live team, and everyone here at Fox. Many more pictures when Megyn returns, so you'll have to stay tuned for those.”
