Having completed a series of solo performances this winter, Mr. Andrew Bird will embark on a full-band world tour next March. During his spring dates too, one dollar of every ticket sale will be donated to end gun violence.  The tour will travel in the U.S., England, France, Ireland, Canada and more.

The 42-year-old singer-songwriter will tour in support of his ninth studio album Echolocations: Canyon, which dropped in February 2015. Correlating with his philanthropic venture, Bird's December 11 show at the Hideout in Chicago will also donate to Foundations in Music, which is based in the city.

According to the Foundations in Music website, their mission states:

"Our vision is a society where children of all means have access to music education and the opportunity to creatively express themselves through music; where all children are inspired to engage in their communities and realize their full potential."

Bird is a multi-instrumentalist and his 2014 LP Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of... was released to positive reviews. His music is often labeled as sincere. For his upcoming tour, Bird will be accompanied with a fully equipped band.
