He's not Dan Deacon with the Kronos Quartet at Lincoln Center, but Christopher Locke could be his analog.

Locke, who builds and sells Analog Tele-Phonographers, does for iPhones and iPads everything you could want from a hybrid of old school physics and new skool cool.

Built out of repurposed brass instruments, like the natural trumpet, Locke's sculptures require no external power source.

"Each one is different, and each one is awesome in its own way," writes Boing Boing editor Cory Doctorow.

No AC. And definitely no DC.

In other words, a real heartless machine.
