Hunger Games Star Jacqueline Emerson: Takes to the L.A. Philharmonic Opening Gala

Hunger Games star Jacqueline Emerson was just one of many high profile figures at Los Angeles Philharmonic opening gala held on September 27. The Los Angeles ensemble, assembled Hollywood's finest inside Walt Disney's Concert Hall's BP Hall for the orchestra's opening night.

Gustavo Dudamel the Los Angeles Philharmonic director was the one who tied the event together. Now in his fourth year as the head of the California based orchestra, Dudamel put on a glitzy show for those on hand not just comprising of music.

Ballet was on offer at the concert, a rendition of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake," was done by American Ballet Theatre stars Roberto Bolle and Veronika Part. At the concert's end a sophisticated ball like dinner welcomed the guest. Who got into the act of their own, hitting the radiantly lighted dance floor accompanied by the latest contemporary hits.

Stars that dotted the night were the likes of as mentioned Hunger Games Jacqueline Emerson. She herself comes from a musical background. The actress performed with the Los Angeles Children's Chorus as well as the L.A. Opera and the Reprise Theatre Company.

 Also in attendance was Matthew Lillard of "Trouble With the Curve."Who on the night said. "Gustavo Dudamel coming to the L.A. Phil is the greatest cultural advance to happen in Los Angeles." The actor also went on to say that Dudamel makes bold choices and he's fearless.

Two other stars at the gala were Matthew Rhys of "Brothers & Sisters." While Chris O'Donnell of the hit CBS show "NCIS: Los Angeles," was in the audience. 

The Los Angeles Philharmonic will get their season going Gustavo Dudamel counducting "Rite of Spring," September 28 to September 30 at he Walt Disney Concert Hall.
