If you possess a penchant for Pynchon, this should knock your proverbial socks off.

Film Music Reporter has revealed that, once again, Paul Thomas Anderson has tapped Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood to score his Thomas Pynchon adaption. This marks the third time the duo has worked together, as they did on There Will Be Blood and The Master.

PTA's Inherent Vice will feature Joaquin Phoenix as well as turns from Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Martin Short, Reese Witherspoon, Jena Malone, Benicio del Toro and, believe it or not, Joanna Newsom.

While the film has no set release date, talks of a major film festival premiere seem likely. Regardless, Warner Bros. is handling the distro.

For his part, Greenwood's keeping busy--collaborating with The National's Bryce Dessner on that split disc we told you about.

Greenwood's latest score will be recorded this month with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, and anticipation is expanding with every report.
