The was a time when Katherine Heigl's career seemed to be red hot, but after she alienated just about everyone that ever did anything for her career, she saw that fame slip away. After admitting that she was too broke to fund her new flick Jenny's Wedding, for which she admittedly participated in real-life lesbian threesomes to prepare for filming, Katherine is reportedly ready to fire her manager mother.
Katherine Heigl's story serves as a warning to other would be Hollywood up-and-comers, who might be tempted to take a dump on the people that make their careers, as well it should.
But a source close to Heigl told OK! that Katherine has changed from the combative primadonna that she once was, and if her mother Nancy doesn't change too, she is going to be standing in line at the unemployment office downtown:
"Katherine has gone out of her way to be kinder to people...the only problem is Nancy [her mother].
"Katherine told her that if she doesn't change her attitude, she's going to find a new manager."
It already seems that Katherine is taking herself a lot less seriously; she playfully told TMZ that she did all the research she could for Jenny's Wedding, even if she couldn't afford to pay for the production herself:
"I haven't made that much in the past few years man, I have got to support my family.
"I did full on threesomes and watched threesomes with women...It has to do with emotion and love and finding the right person in life and I already know all that."
In a conversation based a little but more firmly in reality, Katherine told Us Weekly that the movie was really a gay woman's coming of age story:
"This film is about a young woman's journey to live the life that is right for her and live it proudly.
"It is a project that I'm so passionate about and grateful to be a part of."
Honestly...leading with the lesbians threesomes is the only way Heigl's ever going to get someone to give her a 150K for that sappy snooze fest, whether she has Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel in the cast or not.
