Playboy's Holly Madison Hospitalized After Acute Morning Sickness

Former Playboy playmate Holly Madison is reported to be hospitalized with extreme morning sickness this according to US Weekly.

Madison who is reported to be almost seven months pregnant. The former tenant of Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion was admitted to hospital on Monday suffering from complications due to her morning sickness.

Despite her illness Madison tweeted "Almost seven months and morning sickness took hold! Glad to be otherwise OK, though." 

Some of Madison's fans offered messages of support to the beauty in her troubled state and Madison thanked them for their support.

"Thank you for all the get well wishes! Keeping me entertained -- forgot to bring a book with me." Madison is expecting a daughter with Electric Daisy Carnival founder boyfriend Pasquale Rotella.

One the same day the British royal family announced that Prince William's wife Kate Middleton the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant. The new royal was taken to hospital prompting Buckingham Palace to release a statement.

"As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter," the statement said.

Middleton was stricken with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute morning sickness which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients, the palace said.

 This illness according to experts affects between 0.03 to 1 percent of expectant mothers, HG is characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, dehydration, lightheadedness and fainting. Treatment typically includes hydration, bed rest, and in some cases like Middleton's, hospitalization.
