Despite day time talk show host Ellen DeGeneres best efforts to keep things under wraps, reports that her marriage to Arrested Development's Portia de Rossi is on the brink of divorce have been in the headlines for months. According to the latest tabloid gossip news reports Ellen will do anything to keep her Scandal ready wife from splitting with half of her multi-million dollar net worth. Word has it that the Hollywood couple are back together now that drunk de Rossi is out of rehab, and the comedienne has even agreed to let Portia try to get pregnant and have a baby. Sources says the DeGeneres never wanted to have kids, but the newly sober Portia gets whatever she wants.
Reports are surfacing and the internet and elsewhere once again that Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are going to have a baby in lieu of ending their marriage.
According to an insider who spoke to In Touch Weekly for their August 4, print edition, Portia has her heart set on having a baby and Ellen has her heart set on keeping her alcohol-addled wife happy:
"Everything is so raw right now, but Portia is determined to go through with their plan.
"All Portia can talk about is beginning a new chapter I their lives--and starting a family.
"She thinks a child will bond her an Ellen forever."
The insider insists that Ellen isn't quite a stoked on the whole having a child thing, but she is willing to do whatever it takes to makes Portia's dreams come true:
"Ellen never wanted kids but she's going along with it because she is desperate.
"[She] is still pretty wary of having kids, but she's hopeful.
"She doesn't want to risk losing Portia forever."
The good people over at In Touch have even gone so far as to claim that the pair have already seriously looked into surrogacy:
"Portia, 41, has even contacted the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California, where Elton John turned to have his two boys, to research their options."
Wouldn't it just be easier to just get a dog or something?
