Iggy Azalea To Host MTV House Of Style, Receives Accolades from Questlove, Charlie XCX

After compliments on her flo by Questlove and Charlie XCX, “Fancy” genius Iggy Azalea has been cast as host of this years MTV's House of Style complete with behind-the-scenes footage of shooting forthcoming music video for, “Black Widow" featuring Rita Ora, and vintage shopping in none other than Los Angeles.

According to BET.com, "This season, presented exclusively by Unilever's Caress, Degree Women, and TRESemmé, House of Style will chronicle how the fashion industry evolves alongside music and technology — who better to take us through this evolution than I-G-G-Y? Exactly. The show will connect viewers to designers, celebrity style-setters, emerging trends and more — you're not gonna want to miss any of the eight episodes."

Iggy, who has received much (unnecessary) criticism because she is Australian. And white. And female; has counteracted that with plenty of big ups from hip-hop superstar Questlove:
“I'm caught in between. You know, we as black people have to come to grips that hip-hop is a contagious culture," he said.

"If you love something, you gotta set it free. I will say that 'Fancy,' above any song that I’ve ever heard or dealt with, is a game-changer in that fact that we’re truly going to have to come to grips with the fact that hip-hop has spread its wings."

Further, even a fellow female songstress, Charlie XCX has her back:
"People also view me as an underdog so I think it’s cool that we came together and had this girl power moment and were Number One in the states for seven weeks. We really proved everyone wrong which I think was really cool."

Tune in to the new season premiere on August 4 at MTV.com if you can’t figure out why her remake of Clueless video for “Fancy” (below) warranted her a spot on MTV House of Style either.
