While word has it that Pirates of the Caribbean's Orlando Bloom is hot to trot with Instagram feet model Taylor Swift, his ex-wife Miranda Kerr is enjoying not dating anyone. According to the gossip news updates, the Hobbit elf has purchased himself a multi-million dollar apartment in Swift's super luxe NYC apartment building. Very shortly after reports surfaced that Bloom was using his relationship with Justin Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to get close to the Red singer, it was announced that he would be moving in--a most startling coincidence if you are inclined to believe in that sort of thing. Miranda on the other hand has made it clear that despite rumors that she is secretly dating Australian billionaire James Packer, she is single and intends to stay that way for some time. The former Victoria Secret runway star swears that the only man she has room for in her life at the moment is her son Flynn.
Some people just won't take no for an answer; like Miranda Kerr's ex-husband Orlando Bloom, whose advances towards Taylor Swift were reportedly shot down with as much tact as the 24-year-old could muster.
According to reports Swift did her best to deflect Orlando's unwanted attentions, while trying not to hurt his feelings (via Perez Hilton):
"Orlando has been bombarding Taylor with text messages and phone calls, begging her for a date.
"She's flattered because she thinks Orlando is so sexy and, in normal circumstances, she would leap at the chance.
"But Taylor is concerned that dating Orlando would destroy her friendships with Selena Gomez and Miranda Kerr, and is worried about being involved in a rebound romance."
Apparently Orlando took her passive resistance as a sign that just needed to try harder, and according to Life & Style, Bloom bought a $4.9 million home in Taylor's NYC apartment building:
"Built in 1882 as a factory warehouse, the space was reconfigured into luxe condos...Really luxe.
"Fellow A-lister Taylor Swift reportedly plunked down $20 million for a pad there."
In sharp contrast, Orlando's ex Miranda Kerr isn't at all interested in lining up a string or trysts or falling madly in love again.
The way Miranda put it in the Daily Mail, she is soaking in all the best bits of being single, rich and famous at 31:
"'I'm really happy and content to just to be single at the moment and to be focusing on Flynn and my work,' she said in an interview with Sydney Morning Herald's Kate Waterhouse on Sunday."
No wonder things didn't work out between Orlando and Miranda...there libidos seems irrecoverably out of sync.
