St. Louis Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar is in hot water, facing battery and disorderly conduct charges following a bar room brawl with former pro basketball player Donte Green a couple of weeks ago. Green faces the same charges. Maybe the UFC could market an NFL Vs. NBA series, pitting professional athletes against each other!
Dunbar obviously can't discuss the details of the case with the media, but he hasn't really been shy around the press, acquitting himself nicely (via ESPN):
"I can't say much just because it's a legal issue. It's unfortunate, but it's a legal issue that has to take care of its due process first. I apologize, but that's kind of the way the system works."
Even though things like this can be distracting, Dunbar is trying to stay positive while putting the incident behind him as quickly as possible (via CBS Sports):
"You cut your losses and leave it in the past. Obviously I have a really supportive staff in St. Louis who, from top down, believe in me. They trust me."
