Rumor has it that Mike Comrie is just about willing to do anything to get his estranged wife, Hilary Duff, to call off the divorce and get back together. Apparently, the former NHL player's billion dollar family's net worth isn't enough to convince Duff to stick it out, so rumor has it that Comrie decided to lose weight in order to bring back Duff, who is said to have split because Mike got fat and lazy. According to the latest tabloid gossip news updates, however, the diet and desperation haven't convinced Hilary to change her mind just yet.
Despite having enough money at his disposal that he could buy all the mail order brides the internet has to offer, Mike Comrie reportedly still wants to get his old wife, Hilary Duff, back for some reason or other.
An alleged friend of Mike's told OK! Magazine last month for their July 4 issue that Comrie was trying to get himself back into skating shape, in an effort to win back his baby mama:
"She hated how Mike let himself go after retiring from the NHL.
"To show his commitment to the relationship, Mike, 33, has started working out with 26-year-old Hilary's trainer, Harley Pasternak, trying yoga and changing his diet--and he's already dropped 20 pounds!
"Mike Comrie is hoping that if he trims the fat, he'll win Hilary Duff back."
According to Star Magazine's latest August 11 print edition reports, however, that may be easier said than done:
"Mike may want to try harder: He was spotted going in for a kiss while the two were out in L.A. on July 19, only to be given the cheek."
An insider who spoke to the publication told Star that Mike wasn't ready to give up...no matter what:
"He quickly realized what he lost...He'll sneak up behind her and wrap his arms around her.
"He's trying to make things right."
Sounds like Matt may be starting to blur the lines between determined spouse and creepy stalker.
