Bay-Atlantic Symphony and Violinist Caroline Goulding to Perform Brahms, Verdi, Borodin, Sibelius at Atlantic City's Borgata on August 17

The flavors of Germany, Italy, Russia and Finland come to Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 17, featuring works by Brahms, Verdi, Borodin and Sibelius as performed by the Bay-Atlantic Symphony with Grammy-nominated violinist Caroline Goulding.

The last show in the 2013-14 season's classical subscription series takes place at the Music Box at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa. The Bay-Atlantic Symphony, led by music director Jed Gaylin, will run through Brahms' Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77, the overture to Verdi’s opera I Vespri Siciliani, Borodin’s "In the Steppes of Central Asia" and Sibelius’ Finlandia.

It’s no wonder why the Bay-Atlantic--the only union orchestra to serve the five southern-most counties in Jersey--is choosing to perform with Goulding. For one, she performed as a pre-teen soloist with a mouthful of ensembles including: Cleveland Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, National Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Colorado Symphony, etc. She has played recitals at Carnegie Hill, Lincoln Center’s “Great Performers” series, Merkin Hall, the Kennedy Center and more. Goulding also received an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2011, as well as a Helen Armstrong Violin Fellowship.

In the spirit of this week's perfect summer weather, watch below as the Bay-Atlantic Symphony performs on the beach in New Jersey.
