St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) Scores WIRE Magazine Cover, Replaces Fred Armisen on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Closes Out Celebrate Brooklyn on August 9

Annie Clark is everywhere these days touring her self-titled fourth album. That upbeat conversation piece on her neurosis is her highest chart achievement yet. Of course it was, what with production by John Congleton, responsible for a slew of respectable talent including David Byrne, Brian Wilson, Erykah Badu and The Roots. (In fact, her latest work was slated for success from the start with collaborations from Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and Midlake drummer McKenzie Smith.)

Perhaps you know Miss Clark best as St. Vincent--the same woman who covered Nirvana's "Lithium" at the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Following her Ed Sullivan Theatrer “Live On Letterman” concert, Clark/Vincent’s trademark silver hair and jubilant beats closed out the Summer 2014 season at Celebrate Brooklyn to grand applause.

Didn't make it? You can find her continuing the talk show binge as Fred Armisen’s temporary replacement this week on Late Night with Seth Meyers' 8G Band.

Tune in August 11 and 12 to see how she vibes.

No surprise, then, that St. Vincent made the cover of The Wire 366 magazine this month with an interview by Joseph Stannard and an exclusive remix of “Psychopath” off of her latest disc (remixed by Dutch sound collagist Elisabeth Esselink, a.k.a. Solex). That one's available on The Wire Tapper 35 CD free with the magazine.

In the hopes that maybe, possibly, David Byrne will show his fabulous face in Prospect Park on Saturday; watch below their video for “Who” off of their 2012 collaboration Love This Giant.
