Word has it that country music's Instagram sweetheart, Taylor Swift, has decided to take a break from serial dating her famous peers, in order to focus on her music and apparently her best friends' love lives. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "22" singer is sort of obsessed with getting Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, back into the dating pool as quickly as possible. Some rumors suggest that Swift got her nose so deep into bestie Ed Sheeran's relationship with Athina Andrelos, he had to tell the Twitter feet model to butt out. It's said that the 'Red' performer is really disappointed in the "Don't" crooner's choice of girlfriend and is tempted to demand that they split up.
All reports seem to point to Taylor Swift's lackluster love life as being a deliberate decision to get out of the dating game spotlight for a bit, so she can focus on other things--like Selena Gomez's single situation.
A supposed insider, who spoke to Hollywood Life, insisted that, since Selena didn't ask for support during her Justin Bieber breakup, Taylor is practically forcing it on her now:
"Selena didn't come crying to Taylor when she broke up with Justin. As a result, Taylor has been really supportive of her and offering to talk about the split.
"She's been trying to set Selena up with some really cool guys that she may be interested in [dating]."
A secret source sited by Yahoo News claims that Taylor is even more concerned with Ed Sheeran's romantic relationship with Athina Andrelos:
"She can't stand the fact that he's fallen for someone--Ed's been like her boyfriend substitute for the past 18 months, and suddenly he's not available for any more.
"She has met Athina and at first she was OK about it.
"But now Ed and Athina are getting more serious she's turned into a green eyed monster."
According to the informant, Swift leaned on Ed as her de facto boyfriend and resents that he is pushing her away to spend time with his actual lover:
"Ed was always available to call 24/7, so if Taylor wanted to call him at 3am it wasn't a problem but now it's suddenly awkward.
"Ed had a few quiet words with Taylor.
"It's difficult because he thinks the world of her and doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize the friendship but some days Taylor texts him 20 times a day."
Well...at least there will be no shortage of suitors if Taylor ever decides to let Sheeran go and put her heart back out there.
