Oh, Penelope: Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov Tie Knot, Show Off 62,000 Euro Engagement Ring

Perhaps you can call her Penelope, but Anna Netrebko has many a-suitor, and her latest beau, Yusif Eyvazov, has already popped the big question--and with an even bigger rock.

It was reported that the new ring cost roughly 62,000 Euros, which, after only months of being separated from her previous Erwin Schrott, came as a shock to her fandom (and journalists alike).

And since we are in the 21st century, it was confirmed via Facebook.

A brief statement per WQXR indicated that the singers began dating in March of 2014 when they performed alongside one another in a production of Puccini's Manon Lescaut at the Rome Opera House.

New and noteworthy, the British diamond expert Vashi Dominguez was quoted saying, "The center framed ruby is surrounded by numerous small halo diamonds, also called Moonstone. [The] ruby seems to be oval-cut, which is a modified form of the round brilliant cut and consists of a uniformly ground, perfectly symmetrical stone."

"Such a stone may have 56 facets and, combined with a high quality color like ruby, also produce excellent light reflection," Vashi continued.

So if your affinity for the affairs of stars hasn't been satiated, hopefully news of the internationally acclaimed singer's astounding ring size can satisfy your thirst, and maybe 'Trebko doing Norma Casta Diva from Bellini.
