Warning Spoilers Follow: During the Season 9 finale of Bones, Booth (David Boreanaz) was hospitalized and under arrest after being shot. Now the show’s executive producer is opening about some non cliffhanger related Season 10 plot-lines, including the casting of 24’s John Boyd.
24’s John Boyd is joining the cast Bones for the new season. Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan recently opened up to TV Guide’s Mega Buzz column about Boyd’s character, teasing:
"He will alter how Booth does his job, and Booth and Sweets will confront him,"
Nathan went on to talk about Cam and Arastoo, adding:
"They will hit those challenges that every relationship hits as they get closer and closer."

Following the shocking Season 9 finale of Bones, David Boreanaz spoke to E! Online about the episode’s cliffhanger:
"We leave off with Booth is fighting for his life and we don't know what the deal is as far as his health is concerned."
Emily Deschanel also commented on the Season 9 finale:
"It leaves a big cliffhanger at the end. It brings a lot of changes for our characters, especially going into Season 10."
