Rumors claiming that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are pregnant and may be headed towards divorce have begun to wane. The drop off in claims could have something to do with Miranda's fierce new haircut and her willingness to take the Ice Bucket Challenge.
Despite recently appearing on the cover of a popular U.S. tabloid, Miranda shifted attention away from the most recent pregnancy claims.
And in doing so, she received a little help from friend Thomas Rhett. The two decided to take a break from touring in order to give back to charity, as Taste of Country reveals:
"While out on the Platinum Tour, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett got in front of the camera to accept their respective Ice Bucket Challenges, a task which benefits ALS - Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis - by bringing awareness and donations...Together, they pass the challenge on to Ashley Monroe, Dierks Bentley and one third person they seem really excited to watch get wet, nominating Rhett's father Rhett Akins with a smile."
The singing sensation also took to Instagram, where she debuted her new hairstyle. You can check out the photo for yourself, which shows Miranda with noticeably shorter hair.
Lambert embraced the new color--platinum--which is, not so coincidentally, the same name of her current tour. Miranda looked happy and beautiful in the new pic, showing no signs of stress from the latest tabloid reports.
She and her husband have been excellent at laughing off the gossip which surrounds them, the latest of which being that Miranda is pregnant with her first child.
Miranda finds herself on the cover of the August 25 print edition of Star, which cites one source as revealing that Blake and Miranda are longing for a big family:
"[Blake and Miranda] have both always wanted a big family, and having that first baby would be a dream come true for them. She and Blake are keeping all baby news a secret for now, but everything points toward Miranda being pregnant."
