Young Russell Wilson and his Seattle Seahawks beat the Chicago Bears this weekend in preseason action. The Super Bowl Champion QB reportedly looked as good as ever in the exhibition showdown. The question remains, though: does he have a new girlfriend cheering him on from home? Ever since the ESPYs, people have been wondering if Wilson is dating Lolo Jones (even if they're not writing about it). Wilson's divorce from wife Ashton Meem amidst rumors that she was cheating on him with former teammate Golden Tate has left him young, wealthy and single. At some point, Miss Jones may in fact come out of hiding, if she is dating Wilson.
Friday night's preseason game against the Bears was a walk in the park as Seattle breezed by Chicago 34-6.
Bears coach Marc Trestman had nothing but praise for the Seahawks' field general (via Chicago Sun Times):
'''Russell did what he's tremendous at. He was certainly in midseason form. Contain is something that's going to be paramount as we prepare and move on.'
"Dealing with Wilson's elusiveness should be good preparation for the Bears, who face the Bills' EJ Manuel and the 49ers' Colin Kaepernick in the first two weeks of the regular season."
While the Bears try to get a grip on scrambling quarterbacks, Wilson, meanwhile doesn't even have to scramble to evade questions about Lolo Jones. The press hasn't even written a story about it since the two were spotted getting cozy at the ESPYs last month.
The two athletes, who are both devout Christians, are also both single. So if they did hit it off at the ESPYs, they would probably make a cute couple. Maybe they're waiting for Wilson's divorce to be final (via Classicalite):
"... [Wilson] was reportedly spotted at the ESPYs with virgin Olympic sensation Lolo Jones. The two athletes are both very outspoken about their Christian faith, but observers saw the two get real up close and personal that night."
