Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z may not be headed towards divorce after all. Despite numerous tabloid reports, ranging from Beyonce being pregnant to Jay Z cheating on Bey with multiple women, some are suggesting that the elevator fight which led to this speculation was totally fake. In a recent interview, Beyonce's dad claimed that Jay Z and Beyonce were just using "Jedi Mind Tricks" to increase ticket and album sales.
It's the story that just keeps getting weirder. Since May, people have been wondering what led to the elevator fight between Solange and Jay Z.
We may now have our answer.
Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles, recently sat down with KRBE, where he discussed all of the drama surrounding his daughter. According to Mathew, it wasn't infidelity that led to all the divorce rumors, but rather the desire to increase their net worth, as TMZ tells readers:
"Mathew Knowles thinks the Beyonce/Jay Z divorce rumors ... and even the infamous Solange elevator fight video ... were both carefully orchestrated by the duo to drive up ticket sales...Beyonce's dad was on KRBE in Houston where he theorized all the recent turmoil around the couple was simply a 'Jedi mind trick' they orchestrated as a way to make their summer tour super popular."
Mathew isn't the first family member to deny the breakup rumors. That distinction also belongs to Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mom.
During an impromptu interview with TMZ, Mrs. Knowles defended her daughter's marriage. In fact, Tina went so far as to call her daughter's union "perfect."
After leaving lunch with Kelly Rowland, Tina told TMZ cameras:
"Beyonce and Jay Z are NOT breaking up ... in fact, their relationship is 'perfect' ... so says a woman who would definitely know -- Beyonce's mom...Tina Knowles was leaving lunch with Kelly Rowland at Via Alloro in Bev Hills -- and in a super-rare moment, actually opened up about rumors that B and J's marriage is on the rocks...Mama Knowles even had some choice words for people like Akon."
