Despite word having gotten out that America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon and his Instagram feet model wife, Mariah Carey, here talking about divorce, folks were shocked when the "Butterfly" singer's husband, whose was recently accused of cheating, announced that they had in fact split. According to the latest gossip news updates, Mariah has been dealing with the drama by drinking all though the night while using her upcoming tour to distract her from Nick's absence during the day. A few fearful friends have even suggested that drunk Mariah is so out of it that she just pretends Cannon is still there most of the time.
After six years of marriage it seems that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are ready to call it quits.
A supposed insider, who spoke with Us Weekly for their September 8, issue, claimed that Nick and Mariah were happy for a while, but as their lives changed so did the inner dynamics of their once perfect union:
"She is used to being treated like a princess and waited on hand and foot.
"Nick treated her that way in the beginning, but then his career took off and is priorities shifted.
"He thought she had this incredible work ethic, but she's become a housewife."
The publication's informant explained that you shouldn't feel too bad for Mariah though, because most days she doesn't even remember that Nick has left:
"He hung in there way longer than anybody could have expected.
"I would like to say she is horribly upset, but she lives in a fantasy world...She focusing on [her upcoming tour] and pretending the breakup with Nick isn't happening.
"She is in her own world."
Nick's dad, James Cannon, told Page Six that anyone that thought his son's marriage fell apart do to infidelity, doesn't know what in the hell they are talking about:
"The only thing I can say is that sometimes marriages break down because of cheating or beating, but that's not this case.
"Were temptations ever there with other women? Not for Nick, he genuinely loved the married life.
"I know Nick tries really hard to stay focused and would say: 'I'm with the most outstanding, gorgeous woman. I've hit the jackpot so why would I be with someone else?'"
Believe what you want...but Nick didn't move out because he can't picture spending his life with anyone but Mariah.
