Veteran NBA star Kevin Garnett had his worst season ever last year after moving to a championship-hungry Brooklyn Nets team. Now, with his advancing age and track record of injuries, there is speculation on the internet that Garnett may not return. While fans and bloggers may not have any inside info, it isn't a stretch to imagine that Garnett might retire. He can't have many years left as it is.
As the hosts of popular wrestling podcast Ring Rust Radio are often wont to point out, internet rumors can be the most disruptive and wildly inaccurate swill produced by mankind.
In the case of KG, however, the chances that he will retire this year or next seem like a safe bet (via Fan Sided):
"The lethal combination of age and injury have been the primary drivers of Garnett's decline but with expectations lower Brooklyn headed into training camp maybe, just maybe, the aging forward can show a few glimpses back into a long gone era - when he dominated the league."
As the boys from RRR would say, "There's a feeling backstage that's interesting to note" that Garnett's illustrious career speaks for itself (via Fan Sided):
"Garnett is in no rush to commit another season of his career to a Nets team that might end up being just mediocre, and he's well within his veteran rights to do so."
