NFL 2014: Can Detroit Lions Win With New Coach and Former Russell Wilson Target Golden Tate?

Golden Tate might be on a lot of people's bad lists because of accusations of infidelity with former teammate Russell Wilson's soon to be ex-wife. The former Seahawks target is now part of a Detroit Lions team with a new coach, a new system and a fellow premiere receiver in Calvin "Megatron" Johnson. Can the Lions win their division this year, or are they still rebuilding?

Tate has been accused of being a cheater, which he flatly denies, but he will cop to being called dedicated and enthusiastic about his new team (via ESPN):

"That's one thing that this locker room has, is they have leaders who want to get better every single day."

Winning their season opener against the Giants would be a good start on their way to a season the Lions hope ends in a playoff berth (via ESPN):

"The offense and defense for the Lions will still have some mystery to them in the first week, so that should help the Lions here. Add in a raucous Monday Night Football crowd and a Giants offense that has a lot of questions -- especially on the line -- and it should give Detroit a good start to the season."
