Sun Ra fans around the globe should be on the edge of their seats for the latest update to the Ra canon. Irwin Chusid, administrator for Sun Ra LLC, recently released the first batch of over 20 Sun Ra "Mastered for iTunes" reissues, as part of an archive that has proven very difficult to obtain.
Chusid is instrumental in archivist work. He has had a long-time career as a landmark preservationist, broadcaster and champion of Outsider and lesser-known artists such as Jim Flora, Raymond Scott, Esquivel, R. Stevie Moore and Shooby Taylor.
Thus, in association with Michael Anderson, the latest from Sun Ra and his unique creations can be heard across the iTunes void.
And, even luckier for us, the Christopher Eddy of the Sun Ra Arkive blog snagged an exclusive interview with Irwin Chusid who describes the latest in anything concerning Ra.
