According to online sources, legendary wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts is doing much better after a bout with double pneumonia scared friends to death. Though still hospitalized, rumors say his condition is improving and is breathing on his own. Reportedly, friend and fellow wrestler Sinn Bodhi has been updating fans on Roberts' health on Facebook.
Bodhi says that Roberts is looking much better after an initial scare, and he is making progress (via Sports World News)[sic]:
"Great news!... Docs took Jake off ventilator way earlier [than] expected! He is kicking ass on his spirometer breathing tests...If he keeps up this pace he will not need to go back on Ventilator so everyone please cross your fingers!"
According to Bodhi, when he teased Roberts by telling the doctor to give him fake boobs and a face transplant, Roberts reacted appropriately (via What Culture):
"Bodhi then said that Roberts responded with a smile and by giving him the finger, which Bodhi states, 'means he's feeling better!'"
Roberts, who has been living with his friend Diamond Dallas Page, has been trying to live a clean and sober life after years of drug and alcohol abuse, though his current condition isn't necessarily related.
