Abu Dhabi Festival To Celebrate 10th Anniversary With Magnificent Program Featuring Placido Domingo, Bryn Terfel, Mariinsky Ballet

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Abu Dhabi Festival, a magnificent program has been put together featuring such artists as Placido Domingo, Bryn Terfel, Mariinsky Ballet to name a few.

In March 2013, the UAE capital will become a hub of art for three weeks during which some of the world class artists will offer their musical and theatrical performances.

Founder and Artistic Director of the Abu Dhabi Festival said in the press release for the Abu Dhabi Festival, that "The Festival's vision is to both support and capture the multi-cultural essence of Abu Dhabi. Aligned with the capital city's urban planning and economic diversification, the Abu Dhabi Festival has supported Abu Dhabi's identity over the past 10 years as a crossroads of creativity. Opera, as the focus of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2013, will present such attractive events as 'An Evening with Placido Domingo,' 'Festival Gala with Bryn Terfel,' and Bechara El Khoury 'Poeme Orientale.'

Ballet fans will be able to see performances by The Mariinsky Ballet.

Those thirsty for classical music will be able to quench their thirst through performances of Yundi in Recital, featuring Beethoven's and Chopin's romantic sonatas.

Visual and fine art at the Abu Dhabi Festival will be represented by the '25 Years of Arab Creativity' exhibition. The exhibition will present over 30 artists from 13 Arab nations.
