Brooklyn's Death By Audio To Close Nov. 22, Farewell Party Starts Wednesday, Sept. 10

Brooklyn rock club Death by Audio announced today that they will be shutting down shop this fall. According to a note posted on their website owners Edan Wilber and Matt Conboy will close their doors on Nov. 22.

"Running this space has been an incredible undertaking and a joy since day one” wrote Wilber and Conboy. “We have been fortunate enough to host bands from all over the US and the world nearly every night of the week."

The Williamsburg club began as a work space in a warehouse in 2007, taking it’s name from a manufacturer of effects pedals for electric instruments.

“Amazingly, we’ve hosted in excess of 1000 acts a year for the past seven years,” they remarked on the type of space Death By Audio was. “The effect pedal company will remain open and relocate to a temporary space until we find a more permanent home.”

So, go ahead and head over to DBA and pour out a PBR for your DIY homies. They will start their closing party this Wednesday, Sept. 10, promising “great” programing for the next 75 days.

“We are looking forward to putting on some really incredible shows to send off what has been one of the greatest undertakings of our lives. We hope to see you there.

Edan and Matt

P.S. If you’re in Hot Snakes please get in touch.”
