At one point it seemed you couldn't avoid Anna Kendrick if you tried. After breaking through with Pitch Perfect and having a hit single from the movie, Hollywood is giving her another production--this one a full-blown musical entitled The Last Five Years.
The musical is adapted from Jason Robert Brown's off-Broadway production by Richard LaGravenese. Kendrick acts alongside Jeremy Jordan as an attractive young couple named Cathy and Jamie. If you couldn't guess, it chronicles the five years of their relationship--through interpretive song.
And to make matters all the more interesting, the timeline is split between two narratives, one chronologically following Jamie and the inverse for Cathy.
Kendrick will also be keeping herself in the limelight with Pitch Perfect 2 dropping next year and a new film, Into the Woods, premiering in December.
So if you're into the musical movie (and juding by the likes of the Frozen viewership, it's safe to there's a lot of you out there) then a new feel-good love story is certainly in the cards for your holiday viewing.
