FXX to Air 8 Simpsons Music Episodes in Marathon Support of "Take The Bowl" and "The Simpsons Guy"

It’s like a dream come true to us here at Classicalite. After FXX aired their 12-day marathon of all 552 episodes, we posted our top five favorite Simpsons music episodes. Now, we live in all our glory as FXX is running an eight episode marathon of music-themed delight, starting at 8pm on September 11.

The mini-marathon is in support of forthcoming "Simpsons Take the Bowl" variety shows at the Hollywood Bowl from September 12 to 14. Each episode was carefully picked as they all feature a tune set to be showcased during the Hollywood Bowl shows.

The "Simpsons Take the Bowl" variety shows are celebration of all things Springfield. The shows will be assisted by a live orchestra and will feature video clips, appearances from Simpsons voice actors including Hank Azaria and special guests including Beverly D'Angelo, Jon Lovitz and "Weird" Al Yankovic and more.

Creator Matt Groening will provide behind-the-scenes info and Conan O'Brien is set to join the cast to perform "The Monorail Song" from his 1993 episode.

Of course, both marathons and the “Simpsons Take The Bowl” are all leaing up to one pivotal moment in animation: Homer Simpson meets Peter Griffin.

The Simpsons' 26th season premiere on September 28th on Fox will open with the coveted Family Guy crossover episode, "The Simpsons Guy."
