Even though the mayor of city of Lake Cuomo--where the ER star has a sizable villa--has already announced that he has the police providing extra security for George Clooney's wedding to fiancé Amal Alamuddin, Batman recently announced that their isn't going to be any wedding there. Don't worry though, George and girlfriend, Amal, haven't split, they are just planning to get married in Venice instead. According to the latest gossip news updates, that it actually going to be the couple's second wedding. Word has it the formally marriage phobic Ocean's Eleven icon is going to be privately tying the knot in London, where Amal lives, before having a ceremony attended by close family and friends on September 27.
After years of trying to convince everyone that he was never getting married again, rumor has it that George Clooney has not one but two wedding to Amal Alamuddin scheduled for this month.
Clooney revealed last week at Andrea Bocelli Foundation's Celebrity Fight Night that he and his wife will be getting married in Italy, but it won't be at his home in Lake Cuomo as was widely reported in previous weeks (via Us Weekly):
"I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places."
The magazine went on to reveal in their September 22, issue that by all accounts George and Amal have gotten married once toady in London already:
"The couple of 11 months are planning to have a civil ceremony September 12, with their parents present."
During a speech the other night, George sentimentally claimed that he was virtually counting the seconds until he could call Amal his wife (via Daily Mail):
