From the looks of things Desperado, Antonia Banderas, and his de facto plastic surgery posterboy wife, Melanie Griffith, should have gotten divorce years ago. According to the latest gossip news updates, the couple of 18 years have completely moved on emotionally despite having only ended their marriage a few months ago. Even though they have yet to sign the papers dividing the $65 million net worth, word has it that the Crazy in Alabama starlet has been seen dating several different men included Hollywood's Matt Dillon. Antonio is said to be doing even better. The Spanish sex-symbol hasn't found himself another world famous wife yet, but he is said to have himself a new study girlfriend in financial wunderkind, Nicole Kimpel.
Many of their longtime fans were absolutely flabbergasted when Hollywood couple, Antonia Banderas and Melanie Griffith ,announced that they were calling it quits after 18 years of being married together.
In a statement by their rep released all of four months ago, the pair sounded all Gwyneth Paltrow like in announcing their split (via Star):
"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost [twenty-year] marriage, in a loving and friendly manner."
Despite it having only gone down a relatively short time ago, you would think from their behavior that the split happened 20 years ago.
Since the beginning of June, Melanie has reportedly been spotted on quite a few dates with several different men, including Matt Dillon.
According to the Daily Mail, Mel looked like she couldn't be more suited for the single life while out partying with her friends in New York the other night:
"She only split from her husband of 18 years, Antonio Banderas, this summer.
"But Melanie Griffith looked like she was fully enjoying the single life as she hit the town with a group of friends for a night out in New York City on Thursday."
Word has it that Antonia Banderas has one-uped his ex-wife by seemingly following in love with someone new already.
The good people of Star Magazine report in their September 22, issue that Banderas and his new flame look every bit the picture of happiness:
"Antonia Banderas was spotted on a romantic beach vacation--with a sexy blond investment consultant that he has been cozying up to since May.
"Antonio and Dutch-born Nicole Kimpel were spotted hiking along the coast of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in the South of France on September 3--holding hands and looking very much in love."
The real question seems to be not why are Ant and Mel moving on so quickly, it's: what in the hell were these do being married for so long in the first place?
