It's not been a great year for former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel. Not only was she fired from her unsuccessful morning talk show, but she's also been going through a messy public divorce. Now new rumors suggest that Bethenny could be having a breakdown over a failed Skinnygirl brand, that some say could decrease her net worth.
To say that Bethenny is having rough year would be a bit of an understatement. Her high-profile breakup with estranged husband Jason Hoppy has dominated news headlines.
And now it seems that things have gotten worse for the former reality star and alcohol maven. A new tabloid report is suggesting that Bethenny is on the verge of a breakdown, following less than desired sales of a new brand.
Star even decided to put Bethenny on the cover of their September 29 issue.
One source tells the publication that Bethenny has been breaking down a lot lately, especially when her daughter broke a bottle at a liquor store. Of course, it also may have something to do with money problems:
"Bethenny lost it. She started yelling at Bryn's nanny, saying, 'I pay you to watch her, not sit around and stare!'...It looked like she was about to explode...She's losing money by the minute. The stress is really getting to her...[Skinnygirl shapers] are going for half price at some retailers, and they've been removed from others. No one likes them."
This isn't the first report we've seen to suggest that Bethenny may be losing it. Frankel, herself, contributed to the rumors, when she posted a controversial photo to her own Instagram account.
The photo caught many off-guard, including the folks over at New York Daily News. They, like many others, found it disturbing how thin Bethenny was:
"This is a tight fit - even for the ultimate 'Skinny Girl'...Former Real Housewife of New York Bethenny Frankel, 43, is now so thin that she can squeeze into her 4-year-old daughter Bryn's pajamas - and she proudly posted the frightening picture on Instagram Sunday morning."
