Doctor Who is all new tonight on the BBC. Check out the official plot preview for tonight’s all new episode, “Time Heist.” Meanwhile, it was recently announced that World’s End and Shaun of The Dead actor Nick Frost.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Time Heist,” reads:
“The Doctor attempts to break into the most dangerous bank in the Cosmos.”
It was recently announced that World’s End and Shaun of The Dead star Nick Frost was recently cast for a special guest appearance in the upcoming Christmas episode.
Frost recently opened up about the casting in a statement to the press (via Entertainment Weekly):
“I’m so thrilled to have been asked to guest in the Doctor Who Christmas special, I’m such a fan of the show. The read-through was very difficult for me; I wanted to keep stuffing my fingers into my ears and scream ‘No spoilers!’ Every day on set I’ve had to silence my internal fan boy squeals!”
Nick Frost also Tweeted about the casting, writing:
“I'm gonna be on Dr. Who!!!
Tough keeping that quiet let me tell you.”

It has been rumored that Clara actress, Jenna Coleman, will soon be quitting the show. The Daily Mirror recently spoke to unnamed source who told of Coleman’s alleged exit:
“The conversations about Jenna’s exit have started, and a plan is in place which is being ironed out..By the time she leaves she will be one of the longest-standing companions ever. She has been absolutely brilliant in the role, but everyone agrees it is a part that should change after a period...It’s important to keep the series moving and fast-paced, and the time is just starting to feel right and the feeling is that it could be a perfect Christmas storyline.”
