Time for another update in the divorce of Kris Jenner, star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Apparently she didn't sign a prenup when she married estranged husband Bruce Jenner, who has been facing a wave of sex change rumors in 2014. But according to some rumors, Bruce wasn't really ready to breakup.
It's no secret that Bruce and Kris Jenner have been struggling with their relationship for quite some time. After all, the Kardashian matriarch announced back in October that the two had legally separated.
What does come as a surprise to many, however, is that the couple filed for divorce. Kris did a media blitz last year, where she repeatedly stated that she would not get a divorce from Bruce.
But it appears that she had a change of heart, as Kris officially filed for divorce on Monday of this week. Bruce submitted an identical filing on the same day, requesting joint custody of their underage child, Kylie Jenner (via LA Times):
"Bruce Jenner, 64, full name William Bruce Jenner, also cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asked for joint physical and legal custody of their youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner, 17, according to court documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times. Kylie turns 18 next August."
Bruce may have filed an identical statement, but that doesn't mean he's ready to move on as quickly as Kris. While Kris has been linked to a number of young men following their separation, there's no word as to who, if anyone, Bruce might be seeing.
Additionally, Bruce was recently spotted wearing some interesting jewelry. Jenner was photographed wearing his wedding ring, as Us Magazine tells readers:
"So hard to say goodbye. Days after Kris Jenner filed for divorce, Bruce Jenner stepped out in Malibu, Calif. still wearing his wedding ring...The patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, 64, was seen on a coffee run on Friday, Sept. 26. He looked casual in a red-and-grey athletic T-shirt and a white baseball cap, but his jewelry on his ring finger was noticeably still present."
There have also been reports that Kris and Bruce have reached a settlement. According to TMZ, the entire process was handled without lawyers being present.
While uncommon, having business managers facilitate a divorce proceeding isn't unheard of. Turns out there is a lot at stake, as TMZ reports Bruce and Kris Jenner's net worth to be around $60 million:
"Kris and Bruce Jenner's divorce settlement was probably less than you think, because multiple sources tell us ... the pot they divided was approximately $60 million...We're told dividing the assets was 'easy and amicable'...almost all of their earnings were put in a joint account, and that includes their TV profits, Bruce's speaking engagements and their ownership in various businesses."
