Classical Musicians Said To Create "Peaceful Atmosphere" For Occupy Central Demonstrators

Occupy Central is underway in China and amid threats from the government to lay siege, protestors and organizers have tried to remain optimistic and calm. It was even reported that classical musical would be staged at the event to keep the atmosphere peaceful.

Sadly, the use of excessive force has been tied to the movement as metal barricades and umbrellas have been used as shields against pepper spray. While the protest was never intended to be violent, demonstrators were left in shambles after the police intervened.

Plastic barriers were left behind by authorities to Tim Mei Avenue and Lung Wui Road, according to the South China Morning Post, and protestors utilized them for water.

United States officials have given their blessings to the Occupiers. The movement finds its roots in earlier American demonstrations on Wall Street and in Ferguson. Nervousness and rumors continue to follow the Occupy Central protest, lest we forget certain historical points from its past.

Despite what side you take, one can only hope lives are not lost at the expense of excessive force.

And if you don't believe it, check out the carnage below.
