Houston Ballet To Celebrate 100th Anniversary Of Igor Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite Of Spring’

Houston Ballet is readying to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ballet 'The Rite Of Spring.' 'The Rite Of Spring' is a ballet and orchestral concert composed by Igor Stravinsky, choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky, which had its premiere in Paris in 1913. 

Houston Ballet will be honoring this exceptional piece of work from March 7, 2013, till March 17, 2013, by a mixed-rep program that was created to entertain all types of dance lovers.

Three works featured in the program will include a world premiere of 'Murmuration,' by Edwaard Liang, Houston Ballet premiere of Mark Morris' 'Pacific,' and Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch's own staging of 'The Rite Of Spring.'
