With 'Cheek to Cheek' Out on the Market, Lady Gaga Discusses Wardrobe and Becoming a New "Lady"

As is to be expected with Ms. Lady Gaga, her wardrobe is as much a part of her as anything. Recently, she dropped by Yahoo! and shared a few words with Sarah Cristoba on how she assimilated a new "Lady" for her latest LP Cheek to Cheek.

Unless you've been living under a rock then you know who Lady Gaga is. Her fashion aspect to her persona is very much central to her character. Aside from creating her own fan base known as the "Monsters," she publicly wore a meat dress and, according to Yahoo!, has a 40,000 square foot costume archive.

That isn't to slight Gaga either. She has made a name for herself as a fashion icon throughout her career. And for the newest LP with Tony Bennett, style played a key role in developing herself for the release.

"I tend to reflect my fashion with my mood," says Gaga to Yahoo, "during ARTPOP my mood was kind of a mess. It was erratic. I was shape shifting on a daily basis trying to find my happiness.

She continued: "With Cheek to Cheek, it's totally different. I'm in a serene place. I feel I'm my peaceful, young musician self. I've been enjoying dressing up, and you know, feeling like a lady. I had been working with Tony for two years recording, and [when we started] I was quite blonde, but I found the sexuality of it all to be quite distracting."

Making her rounds at New York's Fashion Week and putting out a well-received LP, Ms. Lady might have found her way back on top despite an ARTPOP disaster.

And if you missed it, check out a preview of that album below.
