Rumors are once again flying that Robert Pattinson is dating a new girlfriend in 2014--recording artist FKA twigs. Some unlikely reports have suggested that the couple may be getting engaged, but all of that love comes at a price. According to multiple publications, FKA has been attacked by racists on the internet.
It's no secret that Robert Pattinson's fans, as well as those of other cute boys like One Direction, can be quite vicious...and, really...just all around trolls. But that doesn't mean their comments don't take a toll on the celebs their bashing.
FKA twigs finally had enough of their trolling, which was overwhelmingly racist in nature. On September 28, the recording artist addressed the comments on Twitter, saying that she was "disgusted."
According to Huffington Post, this could have something to do with Pattinson's past romantic relationship with fellow Twilight costar, Kristen Stewart:
"Much of the hate aimed at the 26-year-old singer appeared to be coming from extreme fans of Pattinson's ex and former "Twilight" co-star, Kristen Stewart, who are not only posting racist comments, but can't seem to get over the fact that the Robsten years are long gone...This isn't the first time the singer has dealt with racist remarks. In a June 2014 interview with Dazed, FKA twigs opened up about being the only mixed-race girl in her Catholic school."
While the comments were certainly hurtful, it doesn't appear that FKA has any plans to call off things with her hunky, new bf. Just the opposite, in fact.
According to gossip site Celeb Dirty Laundry, the affectionate couple are thinking of taking things to the next level:
"Maybe they didn't like all the articles questioning their relationship, or perhaps they finally decided to take the plunge and start a real relationship. Either way, they've ramped up their PDA to a 10 and started going public with their relationship. In fact, they've even sparked engagement rumors in some parts of town, with several sources pitching in and saying that Rob's never felt this way about any girl before, even Kristen Stewart."
