NBC ‘Law & Order: SVU’ New Season 16 Episode 2 Spoilers Before Jesse Spencer ‘Chicago Fire’ and Spin-Off Crossover Event

Tonight NBC’s long running crime drama, Law & Order: SVU is all new. Check out the preview of tonights NBA themed episode to see what they ripped from the headlines. Meanwhile, we recently learned that this November, Law & Order: SVU will be crossing over with both Jesse Spencer's Chicago Fire and it spin-off Chicago P.D.

The official plot preview for tonight’s all new episode, titled “American Disgrace,” reads:

“A pro basketball player is accused of rape, and then other alleged victims come forward, but Benson and Carisi clash over whether the women's stories are all valid. Meanwhile, the investigation results in Rollins visiting her old precinct in Atlanta, which stirs up memories for her.”

It was recently announced tha Law & Order: SVU, will once again be crossing over with Chicago P.D., only this time around they are bringing friends. Jesse Spence and the cast of Chicago Fire will be joining in a special three show, two night crossover event, starting on Tuesday, Nov 12.

Dick Wolf, the creator of all three series, released a statement about the crossover to the press, reading (via E! News)

"Warren Leight (SVU showrunner) and Matt Olmstead (Chicago Fire/Chicago PD showrunner) are two of the best writers in the business. We wanted to figure out a way to create a crime that connects all three shows. Warren, Matt and I came up with a story that was big and unique enough to transit to all three."
