Yuval Sharon Announces Latest Venture 'Industry Records,' Debuting 'Invisible Cities' Opera as First Release

Avant-garde opera company The Industry recently announced plans for a mobile entitled Hopscotch, and now Yuval Sharon will take to another venture: a recording label, Industry Records.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the new label's debut release will be last year's opera Invisible Cities, which premiered at Union Station. And a free acoustic performance of the opera will also take place at Union Station Oct. 29.

With this scheduled concert, the original cast will reunite almost a year from when the show opened. This will be the only time they will perform together with the original orchestra.

Invisible Cities will be made available on iTunes and Google Play along with a limited-release box set, according to Sharon. Concertgoers will also get first dibs on the album, which will be released to the public Nov. 4.

The Oct. 29 show is set to play to an audience of 400 attendees in Union Station's ticket hall and will perform on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with curtain call at 7:30 p.m.
