Mr. Tony Bennett and Ms. Lady Gaga have been keeping up with their latest release, Cheek to Cheek, with some new remixes by the famous Giorgio Moroder and Parov Stelar. After a little slip at the Giants-Nationals game, it's proven that there's nothing Tony Bennett can't look or sound cool doing.
If it wasn't planned then it probably should have as this will actually prove to be beneficial for Bennett, and he doesn't even know it. In keeping up with a younger generation with his latest LP, he's now gone viral completely on his own.
And you just can't stop this guy.
During the seventh-inning stretch of the San Francisco Giants-Washington Nationals game, he may have changed the words from "to the oceans, white with foam" to his own "to the oceans, bright with gold," and he may have even spit out his gum right on the field, but that's just how he rolls, baby.
There have been worse tragedies to fall upon the wonderful world of music, lest we forget Ashlee Simpsons' most embarrassing lip sync debacle on Saturday Night Live, something which warrants an actual, worthwhile response. And, as we all know, there have been many, many more instances.
Tony Bennett, if you didn't know, coined a theme song for an entire city with his "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," he is loved by his entire fandom and he can pull off, now, just about anything.
Don't worry, Mr. Bennett, we have your back.
But as of late, the new remixes from Moroder and Stelar are keeping an undeniably fresh release just a bit fresher.
