LA Opera Music Director James Conlon Extends Contract Through 2018

LA Opera's President and CEO Christopher Koelsch announced at a special event that honored LA Opera Music Director James Conlon that Conlon extended his contract with the company through the end of the 2017/2018 season.

The special event was held in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's Eva and Marc Stern Grant Hall. At the event Zev Yaroslavsky who is Los Angeles County Supervisor presented Mr. Conlon with an official proclamation from LA County Board of Supervisors honoring his great contribution to City of Los Angeles and LA Opera.

Music Director James Conlon joined LA Opera beginning of 2006/2007 season, and has conducted 33 operas including 22 LA Opera's premieres including two USA premieres.

Currently, Music Director Conlon is preparing for the premiere of The Flying Dutchman which will open March 9, and Cinderella which will open March 23.
