The Rock Won't Appear at Wrestlemania XXXI Because He Can't Mess Up His Face? Dwayne Johnson Denies Rumored Match Against Triple H

After showing up on Raw this week in Brooklyn, The Rock has been at the forefront of conversation about Wrestlemania. His surprise appearance has predictably sparked rumors of one more trip down the road to Wrestlemania. But the wrestler turned actor, whose parents named Dwayne Johnson, denies the rumors that he will appear at the Showcase of the Immortals against former rival Triple H or anyone else for that matter. Why? Because he can't afford to mess up his face.

Not only is there speculation about The Rock facing off against Triple H, there are myriad other baseless rumors going around about who the Rock might fight at 'Mania- like Rusev (via Bleacher Report):

"Rusev's latest America-trashing session inspired The Rock to make an unexpected appearance. To the delight of fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., The Rock tossed out an array of catchphrases, insulted Lana and Rusev and eventually tossed The Bulgarian Brute out of the ring."

But according to the Rock, it just ain't happening. This real-life Hollywood A-lister (sorry Miz) says he is worried about busting up his moneymaker (via TMZ):

"His response -- hilarious ... but it's a little puzzling since he was just on 'Monday Night Raw' this week and even got physical with another wrestler... Worth noting -- the other wrestler never touched The Rock ... it was just The Rock throwing a few punches at the other guy."

Of course, it's not a crime to lie to reporters, especially in a fourth-wall breaking art form like pro wrestling. The bottom line is, fans won't know whether The Rock is going to be at Wrestlemania until at least after the Royal Rumble.

Here's a baseless rumor for ya: At Wrestlemania, The Rock will get into the ring with CM Punk! Internet Broken.
