The Washington Ballet announced 2013/2014 Season: SOARING! New season will include innovative contemporary and classical performances including Giselle, Peter Pan, The Nutcracker, The Jazz/Blues Project, Tour-de-Force: Balanchine among others.

The season will open with one of the most passionate ballet masterpieces 'Giselle,' a story about tragic romance, and redemption to life.

Spring will open with 'The Jazz/Blues Project,' music and dance featuring mixed repertory combined of Blue Until June, Bird's Nest, songs of Etta James. 'The Jazz/Blues Project' will be followed by the 'British Invasion: The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.'
2013/2014 season will also bring excerpts from classic and contemporary ballets in 'Tour-de-Force: Balanchine!' This will include a world premiere yet to be announced, and a company's premiere of 'Balanchine's Themes and Variations.'
The season will close with 'Peter Pan,' an enchanted trip to Neverland.
