Fox Batman Prequel ‘Gotham’ New Episode Preview: Gordon Ben McKenzie and Fish Mooney Jada Pinkett Smith Talk Penquin Robin Lord Taylor After ‘Walking Dead’ Death

Robin Lord Taylor may have been killed off on The Walking Dead, but he is alive and well as The Penguin on Fox’s Gotham, all thanks to Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie): However, that might all change if Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) has her way. Check out the new episode preview below to see what is ahead on The Batman prequel.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Gotham, titled “Viper,” reads:

“Gordon and Bullock are on the case when a new euphoric but lethal drug hits the streets. Elsewhere, Oswald Cobblepot integrates himself into Maroni's inner circle; and Fish Mooney continues to set her targets on Falcone.”

In the pilot episode of the series, Gordon was tasked with killing The Penquin, a job the good-cop couldn’t do.

In a behind the scenes, clip, Gordon himself, Ben McKenzie, opens up about saving The Penguin's life, as TV Guide reports:

"The decision Gordon made to not take Cobblepot's life, while seemingly the correct moral decision, is going to come back to haunt him. He is effectively responsible for the origin of this criminal mastermind."

The Penguin actor, Robin Lord Taylor also spoke up about his new odd couple dynamic between Cobblepot, and Gordon:

"He and Gordon now both need each other. Oswald needs Gordon to help get him back on his feet and Gordon needs Oswald to not give him away."

The two are going to be in hot water when Fish Mooney finds out that Gordon didn’t kill Oswald, as Jada Pinkett Smith explains:

"When Fish finally realizes that Penguin is still alive, she's going to have an utter meltdown. Penguin is still under her skin, and I think she is going to try to take him out."

Found out what happens when the truth comes out, tonight and every Monday night at 8:00 p.m. on Fox.
